At D-PAN the term “professional development” means offering opportunities to pursue and realize one’s career goals – especially for our young people. That’s why D-PAN is committed to expanding the range of learning opportunities not only for today’s deaf and hard of hearing talent – but for tomorrow’s.
In the spring of 2010, D-PAN will be introducing its Youth Initiative - a precedent-setting effort to provide young members of the deaf and hard of hearing community with training and hands-on experience in the fields of entertainment, media, and visual arts.
By building alliances with visionary corporations and leading educational institutions, D-PAN will be able to provide specially-designed training programs and internships for talented, ambitious deaf and hard of hearing youth which will provide them with the skills they need to thrive in the changing arts and media environment.
