You know, i'm a student of ASL at durant high school, and i think schools ahould have a day were 1 out of 10 students come in with ear plugs and can't talk, just let them live one day, i mean yeah i'm hearing, and i know i'll never understand the real pain, but i'm not gonna stand back and do nothing, this isn't just deaf life, it's everyones life, and everyone needs to see, the hearing need to close our ears and open our eyes, the deaf need to see and accept those who want to help, not two extrems, man, it's like racism, whites hated blacks and blacks hated whites, if you went between nobody liked you, man i'm begging everyone, find the sweet grey in the middle, deaf, hearing. no, family, we have no labels except brother and sister, father and mother, son and daughter. we are one group of people, we need to be strong and stand up, together, deaf and hearing, strong and weak, old and young. find the sweet grey we are all looking for and i know i'm a little biased, i'm hearing, but i would give it all up, my life, my love, my heart, all to see this world at least try not even do, just try, hearing can fight it, deaf can close there eyes, but one day, man, everyone who says they are one thing or another, they are disabled, deaf and hearing, seeing and blind, labels, false pretenses to say one word, different but we are all the same. we all have a heart that beats within, and i will change this world, no matter the cost to me, just try, stand, make a cchange, don't say deaf, say brother or sister, don't say blind say borther or sister. see my trend, forget all your labels, and remember that, even as my words fade, the thought remains, it's easy to remember your friend that is blind or deaf, but thats all you know, just a friend, no family. my thoughts are, if one person stands up, no one will listen, even if a thousand stand, its labeled as hippies and tree huggers, but if a whole nation, a whole family stands, it's a movement, it is a new life it is our life. :cry: goodbye.........
I agree with comment #287 .. I'm 39 yrs old and HOH with hearing aids... For the hearing- this video is AMAZING! The combination of words, lip synic, music & signing was beautiful. However, to convey more of the message to deafies, there needed to be more signing. Keep up the Great work D-PAN!
