D-PAN's New Direction

A new name. An expanded mission. A new website. A heightened sense of purpose.
D-PAN is changing…for the better.
As you’ve probably noticed, D-PAN has a brand new website – but the changes we’ve made go much deeper than that.
D-PAN is now D-PAN: Deaf Professional Arts Network. Our new name represents our new approach to serving the deaf and hard of hearing community – and we’re looking forward to working with you in creating an organization which makes a positive and pragmatic impact on people’s lives.
D-PAN was formed two years ago with the goal of creating top-quality ASL-centric music videos, making music and music culture more accessible than ever to millions of individuals worldwide who had traditionally been excluded from participation. With the help of talented deaf and hard of hearing performers and technicians along with the countless individuals who have offered their encouragement and support, we showed that it could be done. We remain committed to developing and supporting the best in ASL-centric video entertainment – but we recognize that we could use our strengths, experience and network of alliances to make an even greater difference for our constituents.
D-PAN: Deaf Professional Arts Network exists to support, encourage and develop professional and educational opportunities for talented individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing as well as hearing individuals who work with the community. We are equally committed to enhancing the visibility of that talent and establishing new audiences for exceptional artists who happen to be deaf or hard of hearing. Over the coming months, we’ll be announcing new programs and initiatives designed to transform these concepts into exciting new realities—and in so doing, to serve a continually growing number of deaf and hard of hearing creative professionals.
